ABA Terms Made Simple: Positive Reinforcement

What does positive reinforcement actually mean? 🤔

In ABA, positive reinforcement means adding something that makes a behavior more likely to happen again.

Think: A child finishes a task → they get praise, a favorite toy, a token, or access to a fun activity → they’re more likely to complete that task again! ⭐️

It’s all about recognizing and encouraging behaviors that help children learn and succeed.

Simple. Positive. Powerful. 💙
