What a joyful ECHS Progressive Dinner last weekend!

Thanks for the families that opened their homes to the different grades. From caroling, to great food, to games and dessert, Charter students got to have plenty of fun before finals.

Thanks again to everyone that made this possible. To send four buses to 8 different houses, arrange appetizers, dinner and deserts, it takes a whole lot of dedicated people.

Special shoutout to our very own Kim Young for taking the lead on organizing and for for the support.

The countdown to break is on, let’s get after finals!

A week ago, 141 seniors came to school ready to present their senior exhibition. This project, built into the DNA of Escondido Charter, showcases the students educational prowess in high school and they come up with a topic, conduct research, produce a paper and portfolio, and finish with a presentation to a community panel.

It is a big undertaking for our English 12 teachers (Shoutout Mrs. Panlasigui, Dr. Getz and Mrs. Diaz Burns) as well mentors and panelist.

The Class of 2025 showed tremendous poise and preparation as they presented on topics that ranged from “The Future of Automated Vehicles and their Limitations” to “Native American holistic health practices and how they would be beneficial integrated into modern healthcare.” They did a wonderful job, and we are so very proud of them.

Congrats Seniors!!!!

The Robotics season is over, and oh what a season! The ECHS Robotics team, named 2839 Daedalus, started their season all the way back in August. Building the team, scrimmaging and getting sponsors was on the agenda until the challenge for the year was dropped in January.

This year the challenge was Reefscape. They had to build a reef and take algae off a reef, and be prepared to be pulled back up. The team of 37 built all throughout January, February and part of March before heading to
the San Diego county sectional, then LA county, and finishing with 12 members who went all the way Iowa regionals where 2839 Daedalus finished 4th out of 51 schools. A special shoutout to the 3 team’s members that drove out there with the robot.

Lead by senior captains Jibreal Jitkaroon and Ruhmit Sahu, head coach Mr. Dewey and their mascot Sacabambaspis the team grew and thrived with plenty of talent coming up.

A big thank you to sponsors Haas, Viasat, Escondido Metal Supply, Qualcomm, BAE Systems, Solar Turbines, Donor Choose and the support from Escondido Charter High School.

Time to start getting ready for next season!
