Why should young adults participate in our Community Cohorts❓

Because participants have one-of-a-kind opportunities such as touring Erie Insurance and meeting with members of Talent Acquisition to learn about career opportunities with Erie and how to access them.

These career opportunities offer family-sustaining wages, an incredible benefits package and growth opportunities right here in Erie, PA!

Yesterday was a mock interview session for our Community Cohort participants. 🤝

They received great feedback from the HR professionals, and one of them did so great they walked out with a job offer‼🎉

Our participants said this opportunity helped them practice their skills and gain more confidence for their next job interview.

After the interviews we review the feedback sheets with our participants to celebrate their wins and to provide help and guidance where they have opportunities for growth.

We'd like to thank our participating HR professionals from Marquette Savings Bank and Vineyard Home Care, LLC. Thank you for making this learning opportunity possible for them! 💛

Applications are now open for our next cohort starting 9/29.

🌟 Alumni Spotlight! 🌟

Please join us in celebrating Michael, one of our recent Community Cohort alumni, who just achieved a HUGE milestone — he officially earned his driver’s license! 🚗💨

This is more than just a card in your wallet. Getting a license means freedom, independence, and access — the ability to get to work, school, appointments, and opportunities without relying on anyone else. It’s a major step toward adulthood, confidence, and self‑sufficiency.

We’re incredibly proud of Michael for putting in the work and reaching this milestone. The road ahead is wide open — and he’s ready for it. 💛

We need a moment to highlight this young man right here. 👀✨️

DJ is a participant in our current Community Cohort and has been seizing every opportunity to get more involved.

He has been without power since the storm and still showed up tonight and helped our executive director with our outreach table at the Erie High Royals Football game. 💜💛

He was so happy and proud to tell everyone about his experience in the program, all the things he's learning, and a heavy emphasis on all the connections the program has helped him to make. 🤝

Our favorite part was listening to him tell everyone, "I just got to do a podcast episode and interviewed THE MAYOR!"💜

Side note: he is actively looking for employment and said he prefers a job that's active where he can work with his hands- landscaping, construction trades, etc. 🚧🏡

So if anyone out there is looking for a stellar young man to join your team please reach out to us. 😉
