The heart behind our Hornet community never goes unnoticed — What a great way to kick off another year at Era ISD! 🐝

A big thank you to:

* Our anonymous donor who generously donated the first-day of school signs. 💛
* Sign Gypsies for setting up both signs and making our campus look extra special!
* Our amazing Volunteer Fire Department for watering the rock-hard Texas ground so the signs could actually go in! 🙌🏼
* Our incredible families & community who donated through our wishlists and Fill the Truck, helping us stock both the elementary and secondary teachers’ lounges and provide much-needed supplies!

Because of YOU and your continued support of PTO throughout the year we were able to pour that support right back into our students, teachers, staff & school. 💛🖤

🍎🚚 Fill the Truck is Back! 🚚🍎

Help us kick off the school year by filling the truck with supplies for our teachers, students, and school!

Most-needed items:
🧻 Kleenex
🧴 Clorox/Lysol wipes
🧼 Hand sanitizer
🥨 Individually wrapped teacher lounge snacks
🥤 Drinks (bottled water, canned sodas, sparkling water, coffee items)
🖊️ Expo Markers
🏈 Recess balls & outdoor play equipment

🚚 There will be a white vintage truck parked outside of the Elementary building during Meet the Teacher (August 13th at 6:00PM). Just toss your donations in the back of the truck before you head inside!

Every donation, big or small, helps us support our amazing teachers, classrooms, and students all year long.

We hope you’re all having THE BEST summer! ☀️

The 2026-2027 school year is quickly approaching — As we begin preparing for another great year, we’re inviting our parents and community members to partner with Era PTO by helping us stock some of the items our students and staff use throughout the year.

Many people don’t realize that PTO helps provide things like:
🍎 Teacher lounge snacks, drinks, and treats
🧻 Kleenex and disinfecting wipes
⚽ Recess and playground sports balls, sand-toys, and chalk
💛 Personal hygiene items, including feminine hygiene products and razors/shaving cream for secondary students who may need them

We’d love nothing more than to bless our teachers and students come the first day of school! To make giving easy, we’ve created a Walmart Registry with many of these items. Whether you purchase one item or several, every donation helps us start the school year strong and continue serving our campus all year long.

Thank you so much for partnering with Era PTO and investing in our students and staff. We couldn’t do it without this amazing community and we appreciate you all very much! 🐝💛🖤

What a way to wrap up the school year! 🐝

PTO was so happy to serve pulled pork sandwiches, pasta, chips, a fresh veggie tray, drinks, and cookies to our amazing teachers and staff on the last day of school.

We truly have the best teachers and staff around, and we are so grateful for each of you. Wishing everyone a wonderful and well-deserved summer! ☀️

Era PTO was honored to award three Hornet Heart Scholarships at Baccalaureate last week to Delaney Eaton, Landon Boyet, and Tyler Stevens.

These scholarships recognize students who represent the very best of our school and community through kindness, integrity, servant leadership, strong character, and a genuine love for others. These students make people feel seen, valued, cared for, and they represent Era so well both in and out of the classroom.

We are so proud of these seniors and grateful for the continued support of our PTO families and community who help make scholarships like these possible year after year.

Congratulations to all of the seniors in the Class of 2026! We can’t wait to see all that’s ahead for you. 🐝🖤💛🎓
