Fact checking Mrs. Smith - 8th graders were tasked with finding the incorrect information about our upcoming unit. The first one to find it received 5 bonus points on a test grade. It was a win-win! Bonus points AND proving the teacher wrong!

Our 8th graders have been working on a project to create a cleaner, more sustainable city. So far, we’ve saved Turtleville, Far Far Away Land, and Minion World from pollution and overuse of non-renewable resources.

We’ve had a great first two days with kiddos! Students should have classroom procedures for science to be signed. Any student who has their classroom procedures signed by a parent /guardian by tomorrow will receive a 100 daily grade.

Tuesday we celebrated our 8th graders. We will surely miss these kids but we wish them the best of luck as they begin their high school years. Each student received words of encouragement and well wishes from their middle school teachers. We loved watching them read their letters!

8th graders will take the state science test tomorrow. Parents, please make sure your child charges his/her chrome book, gets a good night sleep, and eats a good breakfast in the morning. We know they’ll do great!
