She turned 30 today, and I’m celebrating. I celebrate her deep care and love for others. I celebrate her commitment and amazing loyalty. I celebrate her amazing creativity and unbelievable talent. Most of all, I celebrate her love of Jesus, and I thank her for her love of me.

I’m so happy to be celebrating for her birthday today! She is a beautiful, servant-hearted, loving, gifted, and honorable woman that I’m proud to call my wife. I love you!

Its been a year of marriage to . I’ve been humbled, loved, broken, and healed in many things, with much more of all those to come. A sincere thank you to Jesus for loving me, showing me what happens when you try to engage in your own expectations, and continuing to break and heal me. A sincere thank you to Erica, for being my wife, a support to lean on, a human to be weak and honest with, and my best friend. I often find myself comparing our marriage to others on the surface and becoming insecure, but whenever we are honest with God and our friends and share our struggles, peace and joy wash over us. It’s a weird thing being a part of joining souls with another person, but I love it, and I love you, Erica.

Lastly, thanks to our friends. We love you—a lot. Let’s continue to be honest with one another and celebrate the never-changing, yet infinitely deep love of God.
