Today, we remember September 11, 2001.

We remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the countless acts of courage, compassion, and unity that followed.

As we head into the weekend, hold your people a little closer. Try to be kind and give grace like we did on September 12th.

Dyslexia doesn’t mean a child isn’t smart.
It means their brain processes written language differently.

A child with dyslexia may struggle to read a sentence on a page, and then turn around and amaze you with their creativity, problem-solving, storytelling, curiosity, or ability to see something in a way nobody else does.

Reading may take more time.
Spelling may be frustrating.
School may sometimes feel harder than it should.
But difficulty reading is not a measure of intelligence.

Every child deserves the chance to discover:
📚 Books they enjoy
🧠 Ways of learning that work for them
❤️ Adults who recognize their strengths
🙌 And the confidence to know that learning differently can be a superpower

We’ve already made it through our first month of what we call “not school,” and I can honestly say that I am loving it here. 🫶🏼

These pods are so special. I wanted a place where kids could learn without feeling like learning has to look one certain way. A place where they could ask questions, get curious, make mistakes, try again, move their bodies, laugh with their friends, and feel proud of what they’re capable of.

And this first month has been exactly that. ❤️

Our days have been filled with math, civics, novel study, science experiments, STEM challenges, yoga, problem-solving, creativity, and SO much laughter. 📚🧪🚀🧘‍♀️

We’ve built things.
We’ve experimented.
We’ve stretched and moved.
We’ve discussed big ideas.
We’ve pushed through challenges.
We’ve laughed A LOT.
And, most importantly, we’ve started building a little community. That’s the part I think I love the most.

Watching these kids get comfortable with one another. Watching them share ideas, encourage each other, celebrate successes, and realize that learning can be something they genuinely enjoy. My heart is full!

I am so grateful to these families for trusting me with their children and for allowing me to build this little learning community with them. 💙

One month down, and I already know this is going to be a very special year. We’re just getting started! ✨

I am SO excited to kick off the 2026–2027 school year next week at A Brighter Chapter Tutoring! 📚🍎

To all of my returning students and families - I've truly missed you this summer! I can't wait to hear about your adventures, see how much you've grown, and jump into another amazing year of learning together.

To all of our new families - welcome! I am so excited that you've chosen A Brighter Chapter Tutoring to be part of your child's educational journey. I can't wait to get to know each of you and help your students build confidence, grow their skills, and have a successful school year.

As we get ready for the first week, please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. I'm happy to help make sure everyone has a smooth and successful experience.

Only 1️⃣ spot remains for our 7th grade homeschool pod! We are so excited to get started in August.

This year, we will cover ELA, Math, Science, and Civics standards in a small group environment that meets each child where they are! Your student’s end-of-year portfolio will be built for you.

We will meet 4 days/week for 3 hours/day and follow a calendar that allows you to plan for all the things!
