Not every ending is a failure.

Sometimes we outgrow a role.

A relationship changes.

A dream no longer feels like ours.

A way of surviving that once protected us no longer fits the life we're trying to create.

Letting something end doesn't mean it wasn't meaningful.

It doesn't erase what it taught us, what we loved, or who we were while we were living it.

Sometimes honoring a chapter also means recognizing when it has reached its end.

What might you be ready to release—or simply stop carrying in the same way? 🍂

You can love your family and still feel exhausted. 🤎

You can be grateful for your life and still wish things were different.

You can care deeply for the people around you and still wonder when you'll have time for yourself.

Sometimes, the hardest part isn't everything you're doing.

It's realizing how long you've been putting yourself last.

And perhaps you've become so accustomed to being the strong one, the dependable one, the one who figures everything out, that you rarely stop to ask:

What do I need?

You don't have to stop loving others to begin listening to yourself.

And you don't have to wait until you're completely overwhelmed to make space for your own well-being.

🌿 At Delgado Terapias Holísticas, we create space for reflection, self-discovery, and reconnecting with yourself through culturally grounded, holistic practices.

Individual sessions are available in English and Spanish by appointment.

I believe in prayer.

I believe in ritual, intention, ancestral wisdom, and the moments when we become quiet enough to listen.

And I also believe sometimes the answer is…
make the phone call. 😂
Have the conversation.
Set the boundary.
Fill out the application.
Ask for help.
Go to the appointment.
Look at the bank account.
Say what needs to be said.

Spiritual practices can help us slow down, reconnect with ourselves, find meaning, and feel supported through difficult moments.

But they don't have to replace our participation in our own lives.

Sometimes we light the candle before the difficult conversation.

Sometimes we pray for courage and then do the scary thing.

Sometimes we ask our ancestors for guidance and still have to decide what we're going to do next.

For me, spirituality isn't about giving away my power.

It's one of the ways I come back to myself so I can use it.

🌿 What is something you've been asking for guidance about that may also need one small action from you?

A little playful autumn magic 🍂✨

Sometimes healing also includes play, imagination, and reconnecting with the softer parts of ourselves.

So just for fun, I asked AI to turn me into a cozy autumn animal version of myself… and Curandera Tochtli showed up. 🐇☕🧡

If your spirit had a cozy autumn animal form, what would it be?

If you want to play along, try this prompt:
“Using this photo of me, transform me into a cozy autumn [animal] wearing warm fall clothing, in a festive seasonal setting, cute digital art style.”

Choose whatever animal feels like you right now, and if you make one, drop it in the comments or tag me. I’d love to see your autumn alter ego. 🤎✨

What helps your body recognize, “I'm okay right now”? 🤎

Safety isn't always something we can think ourselves into. Sometimes we experience it through connection, choice, movement, rest, grounding, or simply being somewhere we can finally soften.

Some people rest when they're tired.

Others finally sit down…
and immediately start thinking about everything they should be doing. 😅

The laundry.
The phone call.
The kids.
The appointment.

The thing someone asked you to take care of.
The thing nobody asked you to take care of — but you know if you don't do it, it probably won't get done.

When you've spent years being responsible, dependable, helpful, productive, or the strong one, rest can feel strangely uncomfortable.

You might even feel guilty.
Lazy.
Restless.
Or like you're forgetting something.

So maybe the question isn't:
“Why am I so bad at resting?”

Maybe it's:
“What happens inside me when I’m not taking care of something—or someone?”
You don't have to force yourself to relax.
You can start by noticing what comes up when you try.

Because sometimes learning to rest isn't only about making more time.
It's also about learning that you are allowed to exist when nobody needs anything from you.

🌿What happens when you finally have a little time to yourself—can you enjoy it, or does your mind immediately find something that needs to be done?

Have you ever reacted to something and later thought…
“Okayyyy, why did THAT bother me so much?” 😅

Maybe someone changed their tone.

They didn't text back.

You felt criticized.

Someone interrupted you.

Plans suddenly changed.

Or someone said something seemingly small—and your body reacted before you had time to think.

Your chest tightened. Your stomach dropped. You got angry. You shut down. You wanted to leave. Or suddenly you were defending yourself like the situation was much bigger than what was actually happening.

Sometimes the present moment touches something our nervous system already recognizes.

That doesn't mean every strong reaction is trauma. But it can be worth getting curious about the reaction instead of immediately judging it.

Rather than only asking:
“Why am I overreacting?”
What if we also asked:
“What did this moment remind my body of?”

Everything has a season.

There are seasons for growing.
For blooming.
For harvesting.
For resting.
And for letting go.

Our lives move through seasons too.

Not every season asks us to bloom.
Some ask us to gather what we've learned.
Some ask us to release what no longer belongs.

And some simply ask us to notice:
Something is changing. 🍂

What season of your life are you in right now?

Have you ever told someone what happened and immediately followed it with:
“But maybe I’m overreacting…”

Sometimes we become so focused on whether our reaction is “too much” that we stop paying attention to what caused the reaction in the first place.

Instead of immediately judging yourself, you might get curious:
What actually happened?
What did I feel in that moment?
Is this something that has happened before?
What about it bothered me?
What would I think if someone I cared about told me the same story?

Your feelings don't automatically tell you what something means, and they don't always tell you what to do next.

But they can give you information worth paying attention to.

You can slow down long enough to notice what you're feeling without immediately deciding:
I’m wrong.
They’re wrong.
I’m too sensitive.
I need to leave.
I need to stay.

Sometimes the first step is simply:
“Something about this doesn't feel right to me. I want to understand why.”
That’s not overreacting.

That’s getting curious about your own experience.

🌿When you question yourself, what helps you slow down and understand what you're actually feeling?

Sometimes we keep doing things simply because they’re familiar.

Maybe you grew up watching the women in your family carry everything.

Maybe saying no was considered disrespectful.

Maybe nobody talked about what hurt.

Maybe being “strong” meant handling things quietly and continuing on.

Maybe sacrificing yourself for family was simply what a good daughter, mother, wife, or partner was expected to do.

And sometimes we reach adulthood and realize:
I grew up like that… but I don’t know if I want to keep living like that.

Recognizing a family pattern doesn’t mean blaming the people who came before us. Many of them were living with the choices, beliefs, resources, and circumstances available to them.

But we can still become curious about what we inherited.

What helped them survive?
What still serves me?
What no longer fits the life I want to create?

You don’t have to have all the answers.
Sometimes healing begins with simply noticing what you’ve been calling “normal.”

🌿What’s something you grew up thinking was normal that you see differently now?
