📣 A Few Important Reminders for Parents!

We have an exciting week ahead! Here are a few reminders and upcoming events:

⚾ Tomorrow Night – Wilson Warbird Spirit Night
Tomorrow night is our Wilson Warbird Spirit Night for all families who purchased tickets in advance. We are looking forward to a fun-filled night together! 🎉 Fireworks will follow the end of the game, so be sure to stick around and enjoy the show!

🍫 Candyman Fundraiser
Our Candyman fundraiser officially ends September 2nd. We will continue to accept fundraiser packets through Friday, September 4th. Please keep in mind that online sales are expected to close on September 2nd.

🎩 This Friday – Hat Day!
Students can bring in $1 to wear a hat this Friday! All money raised will help support our first PBIS celebration of the school year in October — our “Treat Trail” event! We are excited to reward our students for their positive behavior and celebrate them in a fun way! 🍬🎃

🍫 Recaudación de fondos de Candyman
Nuestra recaudación de fondos de Candyman termina oficialmente el 2 de septiembre. Continuaremos aceptando los paquetes de la recaudación hasta el viernes 4 de septiembre. Tengan en cuenta que se espera que las ventas en línea finalicen el 2 de septiembre.

Good afternoon, bulldog families! On behalf of our Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) Team, we are excited to invite you to help us celebrate our students' PAW - SOME behavior at our first PBIS Celebration of the year on Friday, October 16!

To celebrate all of the good choices, hard work, and positive behavior our bulldogs have shown throughout the First Nine Weeks, students will get to travel along our special "Treat Trail," a trail lined with smiles, encouragement, and sweet treats.

We need YOUR help to make the Treat Trail a success! There are two ways that families can help:

1. Donate Candy or Other Prizes: Help us fully stock the Treat Trail by sending in bags of individually wrapped candy, pencils, erasers, stickers, or other small prizes. Out of respect for students with allergies, please do not send candy containing nuts. Candy donations are due by Friday, October 9. All candy donations can be sent to the front office, Mrs. Brannan, or Ms. Hendricks.

2. We are also looking for amazing family members to join us on Friday, October 16 from 12:00 - 1:30 and host a spot along the trail! Volunteers will help us line the Treat Trail with smiling faces, hand out treats, and cheer on our students as we celebrate their great choices and positive behavior.

We can't wait to celebrate our students and all they WILL have accomplished during the First Nine Weeks! Thank you for helping us make our Treat Trail a PAW - SOME experience.

📚 Can you believe we are already starting our 3rd week of school?! Time is flying!

We have several important reminders and updates for our Bulldog families this week:

🎉 Congratulations to our Car Line Fast Pass winners! Our winners were announced on our page and were contacted Friday afternoon. We hope you enjoy your Fast Pass! We will have another drawing in January.

📚 Beginning-of-Year Assessments
Our students will continue working on their beginning-of-year assessments this week.
• K-5 students will be completing their mCLASS assessments.
• Students in grades 1-5 will also be completing their i-Ready Math assessments.

Please remind your students to do their best and take their time. These assessments help teachers understand what students know and where they may need additional support.

🔐 Student Check-Out Reminder
For the safety of all of our students, students may only be checked out by a parent/guardian or an adult listed on the student’s contact sheet.

Please do not send middle or high school siblings to the office to check out your child.

Also, even if our staff knows you, you MUST have your ID with you when checking out your child. This is a safety requirement and is posted right outside our office entrance. We are not trying to make things difficult—we simply want to make sure we are following our safety procedures and keeping all of our Bulldogs safe. ❤️

🚗 K-2 Car Line Reminder
If your child is being picked up in the K-2 car line and needs help getting into a car seat or getting buckled, please pull over into the staff parking lot after picking up your child. This will allow you to safely assist your child without holding up the traffic behind you. Thank you for helping us keep car line moving!

🍭 Candyman Fundraiser
Our Candyman fundraiser is in full swing! Students should have brought home their fundraising packets. Please consider supporting our PTO as we work toward our school goal. Your support helps us provide additional resources and opportunities for our students and staff and helps us continue building a positive school culture.

📚 Evaluaciones del comienzo del año
Nuestros estudiantes continuarán trabajando en sus evaluaciones del comienzo del año esta semana.

• Los estudiantes de K-5 estarán completando sus evaluaciones de mCLASS.
• Los estudiantes de 1.º a 5.º grado también estarán completando sus evaluaciones de Matemáticas de i-Ready.

Por favor, recuerden a sus hijos que hagan su mejor esfuerzo y que se tomen su tiempo. Estas evaluaciones ayudan a los maestros a saber qué han aprendido los estudiantes y en qué áreas pueden necesitar apoyo adicional.

🔐 Recordatorio sobre la salida de estudiantes
Por la seguridad de todos nuestros estudiantes, los niños solamente pueden ser recogidos por uno de sus padres/tutores o por un adulto que aparezca en la hoja de contactos del estudiante.

Hey bulldogs, skip the line with a FAST PASS!

Our Fast Pass Fundraiser is officially underway! For just $1.00 per raffle ticket, families of car riders have the chance to win a Fast Pass for the afternoon car line for the entire first semester!

If your ticket is chosen, you can say GOODBYE to waiting in the afternoon car line! The winner will be able to pull directly into the parking lot, where a staff member will assist in getting your child safely outside and on the way home.

This is one opportunity that you do not want to miss, bulldogs! Purchase those tickets, cross your fingers, and you could be crusing past the car line all semester long!

Act fast for your chance at the Fast Pass! Ticket sales end on Friday, August 21.

Good evening, Coopers Elementary families!

We are excited to invite you to our Title I Parent Night and Open House tomorrow, Thursday, August 6.

Our Title I Parent Meeting will begin at 3:30 p.m. in the gym. During this meeting, families will learn how our federal Title I funds are used to support our students, review our School Improvement Plan goals for this school year, hear about the strategies we will use to achieve those goals, and learn about our Parent and Family Engagement Plan and Policy.

At 4:00 p.m., parents and guardians will be dismissed to visit their child's homeroom teacher. Please note that families will not be permitted to enter the main school building until 4:00 p.m. If you plan to attend the Title I meeting, please park near the gym and enter through the side doors located under the breezeway.

If your child will need transportation to or from school, please stop by the library during Open House to complete the necessary transportation information.

If you are unable to attend the Title I meeting, don't worry! Beginning tomorrow, all Title I information will be available on our school website for you to review at your convenience. While you're there, please visit the Parents section of our website and complete the feedback form. We value your input as we develop our school goals, Title I budget, and parent involvement activities throughout the year.

Also, mark your calendars for a fun night with our Bulldog family! Join us at the Wilson Warbirds Stadium on Saturday, August 29 for an exciting evening of baseball and Bulldog spirit. Please purchase your tickets using the link posted on our page by August 14. Every ticket purchased through our school's link earns $3 back to Coopers Elementary, helping support our students and school community.

I look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow evening! We are excited to welcome our students and families back and can't wait to kick off what is going to be an amazing school year. It's going to be a great year to be a Bulldog!

We are so excited to welcome you and your family to Open House on Thursday, August 6!

Before visiting your child's classroom, we invite all parents and guardians to join Mrs. Land in the Gym beginning at 3:30PM for our Title 1 Presentation. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about our school, hear about the exciting things happening at Coopers Elementary, and discover how we can work together to support your child's success.

At 4:00PM on Thursday, families will be released to the classrooms to meet teachers and get ready for an amazing school year!

We can't wait to welcome our bulldog families back to school and look forward to seeing you at our Title 1 Presentation on Thursday, August 6 at 3:30.
