Creating engaged, distraction-free classrooms where our students can connect and learn is our top priority. In alignment with Maine's state-mandated "Bell-to-Bell No Cell" law, ESD is introducing updated personal electronic device procedures for the 2026–27 school year.
We encourage all families to review how this policy works across each grade level. Head to our website to read more about our school-day procedures, ESD device pouches, and more:

Thank you to Kathryn Ference, Director of Workforce Development at Maine Tourism Association for being a guest speaker in our BL&H year one class last week. She spoke to the students about all the occupations available to them in the Hospitality industry as well as all Maine has to offer. The students participated in an activity where they got to be a tourist for a day, staying overnight in a region of Maine. They researched lodging, activities & dining, then presented their trip to the class.
