🌵🧡 IF YOU’RE NEW HERE, WELCOME TO OASIS! 🏝️🌅

We’ve welcomed so many new faces recently, so I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself and share a little more about the vision behind Oasis Pilates, Fitness & Dance.

My name is Faith Chester, owner of Oasis and an Ellijay native. Movement has been an important part of my life since childhood, and I’ve spent more than 10 years working as a dance and fitness instructor. My background includes training and teaching in barre, ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, pointe, heels, ballroom, Latin dance, trampoline fitness, Pilates and more.
Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to learn from some incredible people and experiences. I was named a semi-finalist for the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders and have taken classes with Dancing With The Stars champions Maksim & Val Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd. I’m also a NEU Pilates Ambassador and remain committed to continuing my education as both an instructor and studio owner.
While movement has always been my passion, my vision for Oasis goes beyond fitness. I want Oasis to be a place where everyone feels welcome, supported and encouraged to progress without pressure. 🌿
I’m passionate about holistic wellness, mental well-being, injury prevention and creating movement that builds confidence and longevity. And we’re just getting started! 🧡 We’ll soon welcome a dietitian and health coach, while continuing to invest in our instructors through co-teaching, education and our upcoming Oasis Instructor Training Program.

My goal is simple: a place where clients can grow, instructors can develop, and our community can thrive. 🌵🏝️✨

💃🩰 DANCERS MAKE DIFFERENT KIND OF INSTRUCTORS. 🩰💃

Something pretty special about the Oasis team? Nearly half of our staff grew up as dancers or have extensive dance backgrounds. And we truly believe that experience has helped mold us into the instructors we are today. 🌴✨

Dance teaches you so much more than choreography.

It teaches you to understand movement, alignment, posture, musicality, control, flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness. It teaches you to notice the smallest details—where your weight is placed, how your body is moving, and how one tiny adjustment can completely change an exercise.

But it also teaches something just as important: discipline, resilience, patience, and how to keep showing up.

Many of us spent years in studios learning how to take corrections, work toward goals, perform under pressure, recover from setbacks, and understand our bodies on a deeper level.

Now, we get to take those years of experience and bring them into our classes at Oasis. 🤍

Whether we’re teaching Pilates, Barre, Ballet, Bounce, strength training, stretching, or another style of movement, that dancer background shows up in the way we cue, correct form, build combinations, modify movements, and help you become more connected to your own body.

You don’t have to be a dancer to train like one—and you definitely don’t need any dance experience to walk through our doors.

But when you take a class from someone who has spent years studying movement, you feel the difference. ✨

From the dance studio to the Pilates studio, those years helped shape us.

And now we get to use them to help YOU move stronger, safer, more confidently, and with intention. 🌴🤍

Movement is what we know. Teaching it is what we love.
