CHSMUNC 2013 was a great success! TWO members receive an Outstanding Delegate award: congratulations to Vanna Teel and Kylah Fanning! We had a lot of participation from our novice delegates too. All committees passed at least one resolution, with the exception of the JCC that engaged in spying, kidnapping, assassination attempts, successful assassinations, su***de bombers, and finally nuclear annihilation. A good time was had by all.

Country and committee assignments are in! We are representing a variety of countries (not Israel, thank goodness!) in the following committees:
1) The Social, Cultural, and Humanitarian (General Assembly; SOCHUM) Committee. Topic: "Extrajudicial Punishments"
2) The World Health Organization (WHO). The WHO, in reality, is not an actual "committee" in the United Nations but is actually a specialized agency within the UN. However, in this conference, it will serve as another general assembly. Topic: "Clean Water Initiatives and Household Sanitation"
3) The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC). Topic: "The Regulation of Scientific Advancements in Genetics"
4) The Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC). Topic: "Cessation of Human and Drug Trafficking"
5) The Security Council. Topic: "Providing Humanitarian Aid to Syria"
6) The Joint Crisis Committee (JCC), which is divided into Division 1 (The Egyptian-Syrian Coalition with Soviet Support) and Division 2 (The Israeli Forces with U.S. Support). Topic: "Yom Kippur War of 1973"
