We are sad to inform the group that Jim Welsch, the original athletic director at Centennial, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, June 23.

Jim was instrumental in establishing traditions at Centennial that continue to this day and he is a charter member of the CHS Hall of Fame (Class of 2001).

Many coaches at Centennial view Jim as a mentor, friend, and person who was always “Committed to Excellence “.

Services will be held at Friendship Church of Berlin, MD with a catered lunch to follow on Monday, June 29 at 11:00 am.

We had a great induction ceremony on Friday, May 1st. Our 1995 Field Hockey team showed up and showed out!

Congratulations to all of our Class of 2026 inductees and Teams of Distinction.
