Are you looking for additional reading help for your kids this year? We are offering free reading tutoring services again during the 25-26 Academic year. Services are available in the afternoons and early evenings Monday through Friday. Students in grades k-8 are welcome and we can work with families to find a schedule that works.

The Central Washington University Reading Intervention Center (RIC) has provided tutoring services to elementary school students across the community since its inception in 2021.

Where is tutoring offered? For the 23-24 academic year, sessions will be offered at the Reading Intervention Center in the Psychology Department at CWU. In addition, online sessions and sessions after school in the Ellensburg School District may also be available.

Who are the tutors? CWU graduate and undergraduate students who have been trained on the Sound Partners reading intervention, focusing on phonological awareness, letter-sound knowledge, fluency, and writing.
