WEATHER UPDATE: A high impact storm will affect our region tonight into Saturday. We expect severe coastal and tidal flooding, strong winds with gusts of 40 to 50 mph, and heavy rains of 1-2". Highest water levels are most likely late Friday into early Saturday.

This could be the most significant tidal flooding event in the region in the last 20 years. Coastal flood warnings, coastal flood watches, and gale warnings are in effect. Some counties already have sandbag operations underway. It is important to take this very seriously.
