The Jessie Hobbs Memorial Scholarship was established in 2022. It is awarded to Elkmont High School students selected through an application process. 10 scholarships totaling $11,000 have been awarded since the creation.

“I am a current sophomore at Auburn majoring in Animal Sciences Pre-Vet and minoring in Spanish. My goal after graduation is to become a veterinarian that travels and works on exotic animals. Eventually, I hope to open my own veterinary practice, where I can care for a variety of species and continue to explore my love for veterinary medicine.”
