$400 raised for PA Revs AllStarz!
Last night was about so much more than field hockey.
PA Revs AllStarz creates opportunities for athletes with disabilities to experience this sport in the same ways so many of our girls have been fortunate enough to: learning the game, competing, building friendships, being part of a team, and simply belonging.
And last night, we got to see that belonging in action.
Our honorary Bear, Lilly Teach, spoke before the game, ran onto the field with her friend, stood alongside fellow athletes for the National Anthem, cheered from the sidelines, and was part of the team.
We are incredibly fortunate to play in an area with such a high level of field hockey, and Manheim Central is a huge part of that. This is a matchup our girls look forward to every season because of the talent, intensity and competition they bring. Games like these challenge our athletes and make them better, and there is tremendous respect for the girls on the other side of that field.
That made it even more meaningful to watch these two teams come together for something bigger than the competition.
We cannot thank the Manheim Central Field Hockey Booster Club enough for their incredibly generous donation from their own booster funds to PA Revs AllStarz. Along with donations from our families and community throughout the night, together we raised $400 for PaRevs Allstarz!
Thank you to Manheim Central, to everyone who donated, and to every athlete, family and volunteer who helped make this night so special.
Two teams that love to compete. One field hockey community coming together to make sure more athletes get the opportunity to be part of it.
This is what our sport can do.
