Dear Parents/Guardians,
This is a reminder that your child has PRESCRIPTION and/or OVER-THE- COUNTER medication at school. This medication will need to be picked up by a parent or guardian by the end of the school year. The last half day of school is May 27th - Medications may be picked up prior to this date if convenient for the parent. Principals will hold medication
until May 28th. Any medication left after that date will be placed in a drug disposal box at the Elizabethton Police Dept.
Other adults picking up the medication will have to have a note signed by the parent giving the school permission to release their child’s medication. Medication cannot be sent home with your child. If you have any circumstances that will prohibit you from picking up medications on that day, please notify your school nurse at the numbers provided below PRIOR to the last day of school.

After a week of field trips and activities, WELC Pre-K celebrated Mrs. Kristyn today for Administrative Assistant Day with a special party for her and the students. Thank you, Mrs. Kristyn, for all you do to support our students, assistants, and teachers. We appreciate your dedication and service.

WELC had a great time celebrating Dr. Seuss Day and Read Across America Week! Our students enjoyed fun activities, dressing up, and lots of reading throughout the week. We loved seeing our little learners excited about books and building a love for reading. Thank you to EHS Key Club for stopping by to read to the students.

Ms. Williams from the Elizabethton Library came to read to WELC today! This kicked off Dr. Seuss week! We were so excited and can’t wait to see her again!

WELC celebrated Dolly Parton’s birthday with a reading party this morning! EHS National Honor Society students joined us to read to the children, and everyone had a wonderful time listening to stories and enjoying cupcakes.

We loved having the Carter County Health Department at WELC today! Lisa Lowe and Abby Martin taught our students why brushing your teeth every day is so important. 🪥
