Yvonne Seidler, Alumni Association treasurer, presented a $7,000 donation to Superintendent Dr. Sherlock Hirning for the School’s playground project.

The Alumni Association’s donation was made possible with your support at the noon meals during Elgin Celebrations, as well as coin and t-shirt sales commemorating the School’s 100th Anniversary.

This is one of several donations the alumni have made over the years. Previous donations included the School swimming pool, the graduation composite picture portfolio near the School office, and the gymnasium bleachers.

The ENL-GC Alumni Association is a 501c3 organization with the Elgin Betterment Club as its parent organization. Donations to an organization of this sort can be tax deductible. Anyone is welcome to be a part of the Association. Typically, meetings are held quarterly until an event planning requires more frequent meetings.

We hope all of you who attended the All-School Reunion, 100th Anniversary of our school, and Elgin Celebration had an enjoyable and memorable time. It was a fun weekend, minus Friday night's storm, of course! We look forward to seeing you again!
