We have a request for information. Is Edith in the group or does anyone have contact info?
Can anyone give me any information about a graduate from ECHS probably around 1964 or 1965 by the name of Edith Cordell? I know that Edith Cordell was enrolled at North Georgia Technical and Vocational School in Clarkesville, GA, in 1965. She was a friend of my brother, Barry Adams, who was killed in an automobile accident in January 1966. I recently was given a letter that Edith wrote to my mother after Barry's death, and I would like to contact her if possible. My name is Beverly Adams Drake, and I live in Rex, GA.

The 1950 Census has been released. All the pages have been scanned in, but they require human eyes to check each name and all the information to ensure that they have been read correctly. That is what I have been doing for the last couple of weeks. It is fun to find all your names and that you were 4 years old or so. Did you know that Coach Atkinson (Ann's father) first name was Kermit? What was her mother's name? I can't read it. I noticed that Walter Thorton lived with his grandparents and his grandfather was a mail man. Maybe more interesting facts later.

Jimmy let me know yesterday that Don Dye & Mary Jo had COVID-19. Now Mary Coyle has it and she is at home. Aubrey is in the ICU at one of the Athens hospitals. We need to pray for him and the others.

In the good old days Elberton would shut down the first week in July and everyone headed to Daytona Beach. You would see all your friends and neighbors there. What are some of your memories of that time?

What year was this get together? We were a good looking group but I don't remember when it was. Feel free to tag yourself. EDIT: After due discussion I think this is the 25th anniversary or 1989.

Yesterday, March 09, 2020, we lost another ECHS’64 classmate after several years of struggle – Martha Thornton Harkey.

Reportedly, a memorial service will be held on March 21, most likely in Elberton, but there are no details available at this time.

I couldn't find my Sr yearbook so here is a Jr picture.
