Dear Hornedo PTA Members,

As this school year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. Serving as your PTA President for the past two years has been one of the most meaningful and rewarding experiences of my life.

Together, we’ve achieved so much this year—here’s a glimpse of what you helped make possible:

🌀We kicked off the year supporting Hornedo with Fish Camp and our top fundraiser: the uniform sales. These continued monthly and remained a vital part of our PTA’s success.

🍎We welcomed our amazing teachers with a back-to-school breakfast.

📈We proudly increased our PTA membership—thank you for helping us grow!

👻💘We had two incredible student dances: Monster Mash and the Valentine Dance.

📚We were able to host two successful Book Fairs—one in the fall and one in the spring.

❄️In December, we celebrated our teachers and staff with a festive Winter Holiday luncheon.

🎉We recognized our students’ academic achievements every nine weeks with VISA treats.

📌We supported various needs throughout the year as they came up.

🎁During Teacher Appreciation Week, we celebrated our educators with a lunch and gift cards.

🎓We supported the 8th grade ceremony and celebration.

👟We had to honor to have Hey Dude Nice Shoes- anti bullying program for students and families.

🏃‍♂️And last but not least, we proudly celebrated Hornedo’s 30th Anniversary with a community-wide 5K race!

This was only possible because of you. Your involvement, your support, and your heart for our school made a lasting difference.

I know middle school can sometimes feel like the time to step back—but it’s actually when our kids need us the most. Knowing that we’re involved and paying attention matters more than we realize.

So let’s keep showing up. Let’s keep building community. Let’s keep supporting Hornedo together. 💙

Thank you for trusting me these past two years. I’m so proud of what we’ve done, and so hopeful for what’s to come.
