I haven’t posted in quite a while but wanted to share a major accomplishment. After 8 years of working on a state grant we ended successfully! In 2011, I wrote a proposal to the TX Council for Developmental Disabilities and our group was awarded a grant entitled Building Community Capacity through Collaboration. Many great projects were developed like Project Search and Project Higher. Praise be to God for His blessings on a successful end in 2019. 😇❤️🙏

Awarded two grants for the disability community of El Paso! One from the Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities and one from a federal agency. Praise God!

The more I work for the Arc of El Paso, the less I work on my grant writing business!! However, I'm still open for business, if any has a grant they need written!!

Was just notified that the Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities awarded the Arc Del Paso a $10,000 grant for ongoing development of our agency!! Thanks TCDD!!

I hit a milestone: I ordered another box of business cards! I started the business around 3 years ago and ordered my first box in 2010. I'm slow but steady!

A few weeks ago I submitted a grant application to the Texas Department of Assistive & Rehabilitative Services, Office of Deaf & Hard of Hearing Services. The application was on behalf of Volar Center for Independent Living and it would fund two DHHS Specialists. A couple of days ago, I heard that there is a very good possibility that it will be funded!! Good news for Volar & El Paso for this program to be administered by an El Paso agency.
