What is an Apprenticeship through the EPJATC?
The El Paso Electricians JATC is a federal and state registered apprenticeship program that requires each Apprentice Inside Wireman to complete 1,000 classroom hours as well as 8,000 on the job training hours.
Once an apprentice is accepted into the program, & indentured, they are placed to work with one of our participating contractors.
A Journeyman Wireman ensures that the apprentice is receiving proper on the job training. The apprentice is also required to attend related classroom training for at least 6 hours a week in order to complete the National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee’s Apprentice Inside Wireman course of study.
