Sad but joyful announcement…

We are very sad to announce that instructor Jonathan will no longer be instructing on a regular basis. We hope to have him pop in once in a while as time allows for him and those who compete will see him at competitions as a referee. He will always be a huge and important part of our TKD family even if we don’t see him as much. He selflessly stepped up to help us keep this school going the days following the passing of Michael, serving as the backbone to our school during those difficult first few days and weeks.

But this is also joyful because it’s always a great thing when one of our little TKD birds fly the coop for their next chapter in life. He has landed a great full time job to take him into the next phase of life.

Jonathan has been here for over half his life!!! He has made us proud by securing several state and national medals as well as competing internationally and medaling in those as well. Please wish him well and let him know how much you’ll miss him. We love you Jonathan, we will miss your smile and the joy you brought daily!

Congratulations to our National Competition team!!!

Every one did an amazing job and I was so proud of everyone!!!!

Here are the results:

AAU NATIONALS IN FLORIDA

Elias had a fantastic round of 16 fight but fell short in the quarter finals.

Nathalie had a strong showing but narrowly missed moving into the medal round and lost to the eventual gold medalist.

Both Jaden and Sophia came away with gold medals!

USAT NATIONALS IN CHARLOTTE, NC

After competing in Florida just a few days earlier, Sophia came away with a well earned silver medal.

Arisa stepped it up competing in three events and earning three National medals: bronze in both poomsae and sparring and silver in board breaking.

Jaden earned his second gold making him a double national gold medalist.

Elias had a tough competitor and coupled with a few e-gear issues…he ended up with the bronze medal. He fought well and we are so proud of him. This level of fighting at such a young age is always impressive! Great job, Elias!
