Asian American Association Asian American Association is founded by Taiwanese siblings, Helen and Marty Shih. Mr. Demetriou believed in the siblings' will to succeed.

Arriving in the late 1970's to United States with only $500 (Mother Shih's hard earned $500 intended for Marty's graduate school) and barely knew enough English to get by, a kind stranger by the name of Chris Demetriou lent the pair a helping hand. ends, and the Shih's never forget how his kindness brought them to where they are today. Thus, Asian American Association was created to bridge and unite the Asian and American cultures and communities, to help others in need - as Mr. Chris Demetriou had once helped them.
