Our amazing Master Gardener, Martha Hutchinson, led an incredible lesson on fruit tree care at Latrobe Elementary last week! 🌳✨

It’s pomegranate season at RUSD! Students learned these ruby-red jewels were first grown in Iran nearly 8,000 years ago—and had so much fun picking and tasting every sweet seed! ❤️🌿 .rescue

Our curious gardeners became dirt detectives! 🕵️‍♀️ They added compost, pulled weeds, and felt the difference between clay, sand, silt, and loam — the secret ingredients for happy plants! 🌸Who knew dirt could be this fun? 😄
