Even though it's summer break, Edna FFA is still hard at work serving our community!

Yesterday, our chapter officers participated in Feed a Farmer, preparing and delivering meals to local farmers working long hours to bring in this year's harvest. It's just one small way we can say thank you to those who work tirelessly to feed our communities.

Meanwhile, in Corpus Christi, we had another reason to celebrate! At the opening general session of the Ag Teachers Association of Texas Conference, Mrs. Depine was recognized as the Area XI Outstanding Mid-Career Teacher. This honor comes just two weeks after she received her Honorary Lone Star Degree at the Texas FFA Convention, making it an incredible start to her 10th year as an ag teacher and a well-deserved recognition of her dedication to agricultural education and the countless students she has impacted.

Congratulations, Mrs. Depine, and thank you to our officers for continuing to represent Edna FFA with servant leadership—even during summer break! 💙💛

Day 4 | 98th Texas FFA Convention

As the curtain closed on the 98th Texas FFA Convention, our officers gathered for one final general session. We were inspired by the retiring address of our State President and celebrated as the new Texas FFA State President was announced—a leader from OUR area, Area XI! What an exciting moment for our area and a reminder that great leadership starts right here at home.

This year's convention theme, "Feels Like Home," couldn't have been more fitting. As we head back to Edna, our bags may be a little heavier with convention souvenirs, but our hearts are even fuller—with new friendships, unforgettable memories, fresh ideas, and a renewed determination to serve our chapter and community.

Thank you, Texas FFA, for a week that truly felt like home. We can't wait to put what we've learned into action and make this year one to remember. 💙💛

Day 3 at the Texas FFA State Convention! 💙💛

This morning, our officers attended the general session where we celebrated the accomplishments of FFA members from across Texas. One of the highlights was seeing our State Champion Applied Agricultural Engineering Team recognized on stage for their incredible achievement! We are so proud of these students for representing Edna FFA and our community with excellence.

After a busy couple of days, we took some time this afternoon to relax and recharge before heading to one of the convention favorites--Fun Night and the Talent Show! It's always a great opportunity to laugh, make memories, and enjoy time together with thousands of FFA members from across the state.

Tomorrow morning marks the final general session of the 98th Texas FFA State Convention. It's always a special and bittersweet tradition as the current Texas FFA State Officers hang up their iconic blue jackets, officially ending their year of service, and a new team of state officers is announced to lead Texas FFA into the coming year.

We're looking forward to one more memorable session before heading home!

Day 2 at the Texas FFA State Convention was one our officers won't soon forget! 💙💛

The day was filled with inspiration as our officers attended the first and second general sessions. They had the opportunity to hear four retiring addresses from outgoing Texas FFA State Officers, recognize the incredible scholarship recipients, and listen to an inspiring keynote presentation from Courtenay DeHoff, who challenged members to embrace opportunities, lead with confidence, and make a difference in the lives of others.

During the second general session, our officers also listened to the speeches of the 12 candidates hoping to serve as the next Texas FFA State Officers. It was exciting to watch these outstanding young leaders share their passion for agriculture and the future of our organization.

To wrap up an incredible day, we celebrated with our Applied Ag Engineering State Champion team at Texas De Brazil. It was a great evening recognizing their hard work and accomplishments while enjoying time together as one Edna FFA family.

Another amazing day of leadership, learning, and celebrating the success of our members!
