The ag mech projects are set up and ready for competition at JCYF! Come by and scope out all their hardwork. All of them will also be for sale (excluding the hay spear)!

Jackson County businesses and community groups...we need your help!

Our Ag Issues team is preparing for competition, and one of the required parts of the contest is presenting their agricultural issue to members of our community. These presentations are actually scored as part of their district competition, so we are looking for a few local groups who would be willing to give our students an audience!

This year’s topic is the desalination of brackish groundwater.
Our students have been researching the potential benefits and concerns surrounding brackish groundwater desalination, including its impacts on agriculture, communities, the environment, and our future water supply.

We are hoping to schedule several presentations during the last two weeks of October and the first two weeks of November. Our district contest is November 11, and if our team advances to Area, they will have until November 19 to complete additional presentations.

If your business or organization would be willing to give our students an opportunity to present, please email [email protected]. We would greatly appreciate your support of our students and their hard work!

Help us give these students the opportunity to share what they've learned about an issue that could have a real impact on agriculture and communities across South Texas!

Seitz Meat and Cookie Dough will be in October 14th.
We will sort all items and then make an announcement on the intercom, the FFA Google Classroom, Facebook, Instagram and Remind. Items can be picked up from the ag shop. Please DO NOT come before we make the announcement!
Items must be picked up that day because they are all frozen!

Just a reminder that our first FFA jacket order deadline will be Friday October 9th. We will only order jackets in October and February. If you would like a jacket please bring $80 cash or check (made out to Edna FFA) to an ag teacher by next Friday!
