Whew! The weather in Oklahoma this week has been "weathering"! (See what we did there?)

Week 2 of the Weather or Not series talks about the difference between weathering and erosion but also how they are related. This week, students will look at how the weather impacts the earth in different ways using wet sand, dry sand and dirt. Watch this video to see what Enlighten and Brainstorm can eat when they're stuck in cold weather and angry about it. (Here's a hint....it comes with fries!) 😄

This week, our GreA+ STEAM Students will be starting a new unit going over different weather patterns and erosion titled Weather or Not. They'll learn to identify different types of weather, the differences between the seasons and their effects on the earth.

Many thanks to The Boeing Company for their generous donation! Our previous Boeing Coordinator Mariah, spoke about her new perspective of this project as she is now a second grade teacher for Stanley Hupfeld Academy who is a participator in our GreA+ Boeing STEAM Challenge. She talked about how this challenge goes beyond the project itself by how the students use what they learn in other areas of the classroom. The impact of this challenge is truly amazing to see!

Hello Educators! Welcome to the GreA+ Boeing STEAM Challenge page! Over the course of the school year, through 8 different units; almost 600 second grade students across 13 classrooms are introduced to STEAM concepts and careers. Here we will take some deep dives into these units as the students are working on them so be sure to follow along!
