I’m so sad to tell you I've resigned from the School Board, effective 9/23.
My husband got an amazing job in Cincinnati, we've enrolled our daughter in school there, but commuting back to EP to serve was too tough to sustain.
Serving you and our schools has been the greatest honor of my life. Thank you for your votes and your confidence in my abilities. Remember to vote for school board this November!

Lovely Friends! Due to family circumstances, I am unable to seek a new term on the School Board. It makes me so sad, as this is the best job you can imagine. However, I'm excited by the deep slate of candidates, and I know you'll vote for four individuals who will love the job as much as I have.

The view from my seat last night. We approved the budget (woot!), which thanks to fantastic District stewardship and the State budget is looking pretty great. Approved the bond sale from our referendum at a VERY favorable interest rate (2.79%, vs. the 4.1% we'd assumed when we went out for the vote). Heard from Eagle Zone kiddos about their first year. Learned about our human/student led design work for our curriculum. Heard a Designing Pathways construction updated, and gratefully approved a grant applied for by a student to help us donate unused food for PROP.
The buildings are quieter, but the School Board work heats up in the summertime!

Congrats to Oak Point and Prairie View Elementary Schools! I'm a PBIS fan, and love how Eden Prairie Schools incorporate these values.

Eden Lake’s end of school party was bittersweet this year as our kiddo heads to CMS. A lovely evening for a send-off!

The view from my EPSB seat. Started with meet and greet (now an hour before each meeting), then canvassed election results, approved bond sale to fund our newly passed referendum, presentations from students, and looked at next year's budget that lowers 4th grade class sizes.

HUGE for Minnesota schools! Our 2014 operating levy was to last five years. Our finance team stretched it to 8 years. 2% means it now lasts *10* years.
Great news for our taxpayers and our students!
