🚨 POP ECASD DISTRICT WIDE CHAPTER — TEST TRIAL SESSIONS! 🚨

Are you a 6th–12th grade student enrolled in the Eau Claire Area School District and interested in becoming a POP mentee for the 2026–27 academic school year?

Now is your opportunity to come experience POP before you apply! 🙌🏾

📅 Tuesday, August 25th OR Wednesday, August 26th
⏰ 6:30–8:00 PM
📍 The Coven — 131 S. Barstow St., Eau Claire, WI
🍽️ Dinner will be provided at BOTH sessions!

During the Test Trial, students AND parents/guardians will:

✨ Experience what it’s like to be part of the POP ECASD District Wide Chapter
✨ Learn more about the overall POP program
✨ Learn how to apply and return your application
✨ Get introduced to our newly updated POP Pathways Program
✨ Learn about activities, experiences & trips planned for the 2026–27 school year
✨ Meet the POP team and get a feel for what the district-wide chapter is all about
✨ Learn more about expectations for both mentees and parents/guardians

📌 IMPORTANT:
• You only need to attend ONE of the two Test Trial sessions.
• A parent/guardian MUST attend with their child/children.
• This opportunity is ONLY for students in 6th–12th grade enrolled in ECASD.
• The application opening/return deadline will be announced at both sessions.
• ONLY 30 SPOTS ARE AVAILABLE!

I am proud to announce the re-branding of POP's post-secondary pathway program.

POP is dedicated to providing resources, creating exposure and opportunity, and guiding our students to explore all postsecondary pathways. We are committed to investing the necessary resources to help all of the high-schoolers in our district-wide chapter become College, Career, Military Readiness (CCMR) compliant.

Welcome to the POP Pathways Program. We are excited for the journey and commitment to investing in our community. Please be on the lookout for more information in the coming weeks!

🌆❤️🖤 POP College Access Program Takes On Chicago🌆❤️🖤

From Thursday, April 9th – Sunday, April 12th, our POP College Access mentees had an incredible and memorable experience exploring four amazing universities across the Chicago area:

• Loyola University Chicago
• Northern Illinois University
• Northwestern University
• The University of Chicago

This trip was more than just campus tours — it was about exposure, connection, culture, and community. Our mentees had the opportunity to picture themselves on college campuses, ask questions about their futures, and take important steps toward their next chapter.

We also had the chance to explore Navy Pier, which was a huge highlight of the trip! The mentees enjoyed taking in the views, spending time together, and experiencing another special part of Chicago.

And of course… the Chicago food experience did NOT disappoint! 😄🍴
From grabbing a surprisingly good lunch at a gas station on the road, to enjoying an unforgettable home-cooked meal prepared with love by Ms. Thomas (Jalen’s mom) and Collis’ Aunty — featuring turkey legs, baked mac & cheese, greens, famous peach cobbler, and banana pudding that the mentees made sure didn’t go to waste! ❤️

We also stopped at Cleo's Southern Cuisine, a Chicago favorite, where the food and customer service were absolutely amazing. Before heading back to Wisconsin, we wrapped up the trip with breakfast at Honey Jam Cafe that definitely left us in full food comas! 🥞😂

A HUGE shoutout to our College Access Coordinators — Collis & Jalen — for organizing another powerful and impactful college experience for our mentees. Your dedication continues to open doors and create opportunities that change lives.

POP proudly provided lodging, transportation, and meals to help make this experience possible — and we’re just getting started. The future is bright! 🎓❤️🖤❤️🖤🎓
