🌟Grantee Spotlight🌟: 2024 Children’s Museum of Eau Claire - Play For All

Your contribution to the Women’s Giving Circle gave more children in our community the chance to play, learn and feel welcome at the Children’s Museum no matter their family’s financial situation. With a $7,000 grant awarded in 2024 to the museum’s Play for All program, 573 free admissions were offered to families through a reduced daily admission rate of $4 per person, providing affordable opportunities for families who might otherwise have been unable to attend. 767 families joined or renewed their reduced rate yearly memberships allowing families to return multiple times and deepen their learning through play. Offered at $30 per family compared to the standard $179 rate, these memberships made sustained access possible for families who might otherwise face financial barriers. Through the Play for All program, families are able to explore hands-on exhibits and spend meaningful time learning together as their children grow, explore and build confidence through play.

🌟Grantee Spotlight🌟 - 2025 Friends of the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library Eau Claire Children’s Book Distribution Program

Your generous donation to the Women's Giving Circle will provide 1500 books in English, Hmong and Spanish for children ages 0-8 that may not have reading material in their homes. With a $5,250 grant in 2025, this program will distribute diverse, high-quality children’s books throughout the community to facilities often visited by underserved families in our community, including laundromats, food pantries, the WIC office, The Community Table, Bolton Refuge House, and the Owen Park playground. The Eau Claire Children's Book Distribution Program will give young children numerous opportunities for developing early literacy skills, nurturing positive parent/child relationships, and empowering parents and caregivers to actively support their child’s development. Children who visit our partnering sites have free access to books written in the language they speak at home. These stories may reflect their lived experiences, expand their knowledge of the world, make them laugh, and foster skills that will facilitate their success as readers, as students, and as contributing members of the community in which they grow.

Meet New WGC Member Hanna!

Originally from Farmington, Minnesota, Hanna moved to Eau Claire for college in 2010, and loved the community so much she decided to stay.

Hanna joined the Women’s Giving Circle because she was looking for a group of women supporting and uplifting other women while making a meaningful impact in the community. We’re so excited to have her as part of WGC!

When she’s not busy running her American Family Insurance business, you’ll likely find Hanna reading, golfing, attending concerts or taking a cycle class. Her current recommendation? Any book by Abby Jimenez and the show Shrinking! And if she has a free Saturday, her ideal day is relaxing on the couch with a good book and her cats nearby.

Fun fact: Hanna’s go-to drink order is a LARGE iced americano with sugar-free vanilla!

Welcome to the Circle, Hanna — we’re so glad you’ve joined! 💕

✨ Looking Ahead to 20 Years of Impact ✨

As we look ahead to celebrating the Women's Giving Circle's 20th Anniversary next year, we are excited to honor two decades of women coming together to strengthen the Eau Claire community through generosity, connection, and collective impact.

We are grateful to Trust Point Foundation for supporting the WGC 20th Anniversary Milestone Campaign through the Eau Claire HerPoint event and for believing in the power of investing in women.

“Supporting the Women’s Giving Circle means supporting the Eau Claire community. The Trust Point Foundation was proud to support the Women’s Giving Circle Milestone Campaign through our Eau Claire HerPoint event because we believe in investing in opportunities that strengthen and support women in our communities. The mission of the Women’s Giving Circle aligns naturally with HerPoint’s focus on connection, education and creating meaningful impact for women today and future generations.”

As we approach this special anniversary, we look forward to celebrating the impact we've made together and the opportunities ahead for our community. 💜
