Summer time!! We enjoyed a quick getaway to New Ulm to visit my parents this weekend. Growing up I didn't realize the treasure that was the small town we lived in. Now I get it!! Storing up the memories!

The ☀️ was shining.
The 🧊 has melted.
The 🦆 were swimming.
It was a beautiful day for a 🚶‍♀️.

Some big changes are happening around here. After over a decade of being a stay-at-home mom, I have decided to return to teaching. These last 11 years have brought me so much joy staying home with my children and running my creative business, but I was offered a wonderful position at our children's parochial school that I just couldn't say no to.

⚡⚡⚡This is my current normal. Waking up, heading down to the cancer center, receiving radiation, and back home to my family all before 8am.⚡⚡⚡



♥️♥️♥️I am so happy to say that I haven't seen any radiation side effects yet. I am sure by the end of my five weeks I'll be feeling it, but for now I will enjoy feeling 👌.♥️♥️♥️



🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️If nothing else, 2020 has taught me to accept change, be flexible with whatever comes my way, and trust that I am not in control but One who is much wiser is directing my steps.🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

🥾🥾🥾My hubby and I were able to sneak away for a long weekend over the Fourth. We enjoyed the beautiful North Shore of Minnesota. It was such a wonderful time away. We stayed in a sweet tiny house Airbnb that looked like a caboose! Due to the remote nature of the caboose we were mainly unplugged, too. We hiked many miles and saw so many beautiful sights. 🥾🥾🥾



⚡⚡⚡We jumped right back into life this week with him returning to working remotely and I got to start my 5 weeks of radiation treatment. ⚡⚡⚡

♥️♥️♥️I have always loved to read. I'm a fairly diverse reader. I love learning through a good nonfiction. I love feeling an of the feels with a deep fictional story. And some days I escape through a light chick lit.♥️♥️♥️



📝🎧💻I have also diversified how I consume literature. I still love a good old page turning book, but now have a Kindle and also use Audible. To me each format has its advantages and place.📝🎧💻

You never know what you will find when you get out and explore nature!!
