My goodness..I am going to miss this group of kids! It has been such an amazing year of growth, learning, acceptance, friendship, hard work, and most importantly, laughter and fun. I will truly cherish this year and will take away so many wonderful memories with these fabulous kiddos! What a bittersweet day tomorrow will be! I'm ready for summer but not ready to say goodbye.
Today was quite the party with pizza and ice cream. We had a blast. Plus here's a little secret... These kids can clean! They sure are great helpers getting my room ready for summer.

Field Trip to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science will be tomorrow. It looks to be a rainy day so please send your child dressed appropriately for the weather. We will be inside most of the day so the weather won't effect our plans. It will be a wonderful day for the students!

Found: A copy of the 2nd Grade music program was found in my room. If you ordered a copy and never received it, please let me know and I'll send it home tomorrow with your child. :)

Needed: Cardboard the size of kid's T-shirts. I am giving my students a t-shirt to decorate and have signed as a going away present. I need cardboard pieces to fit in between the the front and back of the t-shirts so that colors don't bleed. If anyone has cardboard that fits this dimension, I would love to have them. If isn't not too much of a pain, it would be helpful to have the pieces already cut so I don't have to do it. :) These T-shirts will be worn the last day of school so our class looks totally cool!

I hope you all are enjoying your spring break! I sure missed my class last week. I am feeling much better today. I had a 7 mm kidney stone that got stuck and had to be removed surgically last Tuesday. Definitely wasn't what I had planned last week. But I am finally pain free- after dealing with that pesky little stone for a month! I know my students were worried about me so please let them know I'm OK and getting back to myself. They did such an amazing job having three different substitute teachers. I am very proud of them and lucky to be blessed with a class full of wonderful students. Enjoy your week off!

Literacy carnival will be hear before we know it-March 13th! This year 2nd grade is making two baskets and splitting the money among the 6 classrooms:
● Ideas for Dog Lovers Basket: dog treats, bones, balls, chew toys, dog bed,
leash, collar, and any other item or service that a furry friend would enjoy (ie:
grooming, spa, kennel boarding, etc)
● Ideas for Gift Card Basket:restaurant gift cards, electronics gift cards, grocery
gift cards, clothing store gift cards, etc.

Please bring your items/monetary donations to school. :)

We have a fun week coming up!
Tuesday is our 100th day of school! Please make sure your child works on their posters this weekend. Also, don't forget our 100th day snack! (100 small items in a Ziploc bag).
We will be going to the Edge in Fort Collins on Wednesday. Parents are welcome to join us. We are asking that you meet us there in between 8:45-9:00. Have a great weekend!

Sending out this S.O.S!! Valentines Day is just around the corner. I have several parents who signed up to help. But I don't have a coordinator. If you are willing to organize my class party, please let me know ASAP. I think this party is the easiest party of the year to coordinate. Thank you so much!!!

I can't wait to see the kids tomorrow! Happy 2015 to everyone! :) We have PE tomorrow so please remember their gym shoes since they'll probably be wearing those boots in the morning. We send the kids out for recess when the temp is 20 and above. Please send them with hats, gloves, snow pants. warm coats, etc! I hope we thaw out soon!
