Ms. Brunson has a Master of Business Administration in Human Resources from Webster University, Master of Science in Operations Management from the University of Arkansas and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Service from the Clinton School of Public Service to better serve the people she serves! She considers herself a Forever Learner.

After a 20-year career in Human Resources, LaTisha Brunson has become a full-time community advocate working with ReStore Hope Arkansas under the 100 Families Initiative a non-profit established to help families in Jefferson County move from crisis to career in partnership with Southeast Arkansas College. Ms. Brunson started her professional career in Northwest Arkansas at the University of Arkansas. She recruited minority students to the campus while providing them with scholarships and mentorship. She later took a role with Walmart Corporate office in recruitment, employment compliance and global policy changes. In 2018, she moved back to her hometown of Pine Bluff and accepted the role of Assistant Human Resources Director at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, where she led the campus in people, policy and change for 6 years. She has always been an advocate for people and the Pine Bluff community which led to her campaigning and being elected as Ward 1 Councilwoman for Pine Bluff in January 2023. This election and position opened up her love more for the city and influenced her in accepting the inaugural role with Restore Hope Arkansas and the 100 Families Initiative.

She says the work she does is "Heart work" not "Hard work".

LaTisha Brunson, is an active member of the Delta Omega Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc as well as a member of the Pine Bluff City Council representing Ward 1. Within her first 6 months, she organized the groundbreaking “Friends of the First Ward” event, that celebrated local small businesses, highlighting their products and services. She has an unwavering commitment to addressing food insecurity, collaborating with state agencies like the Minority Health.
