Musicians you can always W. I. N.
➡️Know WHATS IMPORTAN NOW

Have you ever become trapped reliving past mistakes…over and over like a video player, stuck on endless replay? Do you spend time and energy worrying about the future? Do you spend more time thinking about the things you can’t control rather than the things you can control about the areas where your efforts matter? Do you ever find yourself busy trying to mentally prepare for the next performance, or the next project, or the next chapter in your life, rather than being fully present in the current one?

It is mind-bending to consider that in practical terms we only ever have now. We can’t control the future in a literal sense, just the now. Of course, we learn from the past and can imagine the future. Yet only in the here and now can we actually execute on the things that really matter.

To operate at your highest level of contribution, requires that you deliberately tune in to what is important in the here and now.

This doesn't mean, don't plan for the future or don't think about how you want you life to be. It means being present, while executing your plans, habits, and interactions for the future.

Not only do I get to help musicians learn from the past and look forward to the future. I remind musicians to soak up the now before it's gone.

I have 3 coaching openings and thanks to previous coachies financial assistant is available. So reach out, and lets discuss your past, present, and future.

Any other musicians feel that this "don't talk about pay" is an unnecessary detriment carried over from corporate culture?

A potential client asked me, "What do you ultimately want for your clients?" A potential client has never asked me this. There is so much I want for them, that the question triggered a mental damn break. After the rush, I organized my thoughts and I replied:

"My ultimate goal is to transform the way my clients participate in their music career, to empower them to not only create art that they want. But, create joy, realize their purpose and be well compensated for it."

There is sooo much more, and neither one of us had all day.

Being a musician isn't about learning the music and showing up. All though, showing up is extremely important. Being a successful musician is answering to what resonates with you and being the #1 participant in cultivating a sustainable life and feeding that which resonates with you. Most importantly, understanding that it is not a requirement to cultivate this life by your self, atleast not anymore.

I could go on, but I just wanted to share a glimpse into this experience. I hope future clients ask this question; I wonder if it will be the same answer?

I read somewhere that most cultures don't fight suffering/pain, they hold it.
The Japanese call it "mono no aware" - the pathos of things. The passing of something that mattered.

It seems these cultures view pain as something of value not damaged. Not something to force out of one's life as quickly as possible.

Western cultures view pain as a problem something to always be fixed. Our nervous system responds with stress and resistance instead of processing.

I read in an essay that "there was a particular sadness in wondering whether I failed to become the person you expected to be. There are no funerals for abandoned ambitions, no one sends you flowers when you realize the life you pictured never arrived"

It's true isn't it? Even if it did arrive, and we had to relinquish it. We're supposed to just keep on going. There's no pomp an circumstance for the ending or the beginning. You're supposed to be grateful yet, being grateful doesnt mean grief doesn't exist and shouldn't be acknowledged.

I personally believe one of the healthiest and productive things artists can do is take the time to grieve what once was and officially close a chapter. So the new one is all that more robust and clear.

It makes perfect sense after investing so much time, money, blood sweat and tears into something thay didn't work out the way that we wanted it to that we take the time to acknowledge it, understand it grieve it, say goodbye, and move on.

I come across so many musicians who can't move forward. Because they dont realize they're holding on to a vision of a career that is no longer, that's keeping a bright future out of reach.

Are you being held back by what was supposed to be?

The longer I live, the more deeply I learn that love- whether we call it friendship or family or romance- Is the work of mirroring and magnifying each other's light.

About Coaching:
We live in a culture that, for the most part, demands that people prove themselves and demonstrate their worthiness by performing to some standard before they are accepted into the circle. The culture creates relationships in which the emphasis is on proving, explaining, and justifying.

A coaching relationship is built on the premise that you are naturally creative, resourceful, and whole and are capable of making the best choices. It is a relationship founded on basic trust in your capacity and integrity. You get to see that you have a person in your life who believes you can do what you say you can do, who believes you can be the person you say you want to be
