📚🌞 Dig Into a Great Book This Summer! EMO families, there's still time to join the Center Moriches Community Library's Summer Reading Club!

This year, the library is holding a friendly competition and the school with the most participants will earn a trophy. Let's show our Eagle pride by signing up and reading all summer long.

Kids Summer Reading Club 2026: Unearth a Story!
📚 Ages: Birth through Grade 6
🎁 Earn prizes for reading with family and friends.
🗓️ Registration is open through Friday, July 31.

Science, teamwork and a little patience made for an out-of-this-world day at EMO Extended School Year!

Our students explored chemical reactions by launching bottle rockets, learning firsthand why patience is an important part of the scientific process. Along the way, we talked about how trying something new can feel a little scary at first, but often leads to exciting discoveries and lots of fun!

Hands-on experiences like these build confidence, curiosity and life skills while making learning unforgettable! 🚀

🚀✨ Space Week is taking learning to new heights at East Moriches Elementary!

Our Extended School Year students are exploring the wonders of space through engaging, hands-on activities designed to inspire curiosity and build confidence.

🛰️ Ms. Campo's class put their scientific thinking to the test by experimenting to see whether a balloon with more or less air would travel faster.

🔢 Students also participated in a color-coded math scavenger hunt throughout the hallway, with each challenge thoughtfully adapted to meet individual academic needs.

Beyond the lessons themselves, these activities provide meaningful opportunities for students to collaborate in small groups, problem-solve together, and enjoy interactive learning experiences that help build important academic and social skills.

Every week brings a new theme, new discoveries, and new reasons to love learning! 🌟 🦅

🌟 Perfect attendance deserves a perfect celebration! Congratulations to our East Moriches Elementary students who were recognized for achieving Perfect Attendance this past school year! Their commitment to being present, engaged and ready to learn each day is an outstanding accomplishment.

Showing up consistently builds strong habits, strengthens friendships and creates more opportunities to learn and grow. We are incredibly proud of these students and grateful to the families who helped make this achievement possible.

These outstanding young leaders are closing out the school year on a high note, earning this recognition through their leadership, kindness, responsibility, and positive example for others. They represent the very best of the East Moriches Elementary community and have helped make this an incredible academic year.
