Our students had a sweet time this week creating their very own gingerbread houses! From frosting to candy decorations, creativity was on full display—and so were the smiles.

This hands-on activity was a great way to practice teamwork, creativity, and holiday cheer. Thank you to everyone who helped make this fun-filled day possible! 🍭✨

What a wonderful celebration of the season! Our students did an amazing job spreading holiday cheer through songs, performances, and smiles. We are so proud of their hard work and bravery on stage!

🎬 2nd Grade Adventure Day! 🌲

Our 2nd graders had an amazing field trip on Friday! We started the morning at the Putnam IMAX Theater watching Back from the Brink, an inspiring film that sparked great conversations about compassion, resilience, and caring for our world.

After the movie, we enjoyed a beautiful nature walk at Black Hawk State Park. Students explored the trails, observed wildlife, and soaked up the fresh fall air. 🍂🦅

It was a day filled with learning, laughter, and lots of curiosity. We’re so proud of our students for representing our program so well!

📚✨ Special Visitor in Our Elementary Classrooms! ✨👑

We were thrilled to welcome the Miss Illinois County Fair Queen, Johanna, to our elementary classrooms on Friday! She spent the morning reading a story to our students and sharing about her experiences representing county fairs across Illinois.

The students loved getting to meet a real queen, ask questions, and learn about the importance of community, agriculture, and following their dreams. 💛

A huge thank-you to the Miss Illinois County Fair Queen for taking the time to inspire our young learners — and for bringing so many smiles to their day! 👑📖🌟
