Yesterday we had our first annual Career & College Mixer. We brought colleges and universities to MSU’s campus to connect with our College Advisers in a more personalized setting than the traditional “tabling.” Thank you to Lansing Community College, University of Michigan, Central Michigan University, Davenport University, Northern Michigan University, Michigan Technological University, Grand Valley State University, Ferris State University, Western Michigan University, and Eastern Michigan University for coming to East Lansing and connecting with our Michigan's AmeriCorps members!! has amazing partners!!

A special part of my MSUCAC journey was returning to Ferndale High School. I served as the College Adviser at FHS from 2023–2025. As a Ferndale alum, it was incredibly rewarding to give back to the school and community that played such an important role in my own story while helping students prepare for their futures. 🎓
During my time at Ferndale, I had the privilege of supporting students as they explored their postsecondary options and worked toward their goals. Along the way, I built meaningful relationships with students, staff, fellow advisers, and colleagues, creating memories and friendships that I will always cherish.💚
This experience helped me grow both personally and professionally, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue supporting this mission in my current role. ✨
