A new study from MSU School of Social Work associate professor Hyunkag Cho explores why male survivors of intimate partner violence often go unreported and identifies barriers that can prevent men from seeking help, including shame, stigma and distrust in formal support systems.

MSU School of Social Work’s Virtual Connections program is proud to be among the 2026 AARP Community Challenge grant recipients.
This investment will support digital literacy in the Greater Lansing area by pairing older adults with college students and community members.
The project is a collaboration between Virtual Connections and Generations Connect as part of MSU AgeAlive in the College of Osteopathic Medicine.
