When I clean a headstone I take my time and I do everything by hand-- I don't use any pressure washers or harsh chemicals that will damage a monument. I've sadly seen and heard of a few companies-- even a professional monument company-- lately doing this.
Please, if you are going to hire someone to do this work, do your research. The quick way is not always the best way. If in doubt, doing nothing harms nothing.
