Summer break is a time for fun, sunshine, and making memories—but it’s also important to keep those little minds growing! 🌱💛

Reading during the summer helps children:
📖 Keep their reading skills strong
🧠 Build vocabulary and comprehension
✨ Spark imagination and creativity
🎒 Stay prepared for the new school year
❤️ Develop a lifelong love for books

Even 15–20 minutes of reading each day can make a difference! Whether it’s a bedtime story, a trip to the library, or reading together outside, every page counts.

💔 LSH Families, we are deeply saddened to announce another closure.

Please forgive the late post. We waited until 8:30 tonight, hoping and praying for a miracle—that the power would be restored. Unfortunately, not yet. 😔

Once power returns, we must replenish and make sure our programs are fully operable before welcoming everyone back.

LSH will remain CLOSED Monday, August 17, 2026.

We know this has been difficult. We miss our babies and we miss being OPEN! ❤️🙏🏾

Our MOHEA kiddos enjoyed a beautiful day at the park—running, playing, laughing, and making sweet summer memories together! 🛝🌿🥰

We’re not quite ready to say goodbye to summer, but we’re making every moment count! ☀️💚

Attention Parents ‼️

❤️ LSH FAMILY, PLEASE CHECK IN! ❤️

As we continue dealing with the aftermath of anothet historic storm, many of our LSH families AND staff are still without power. We know this has been a difficult few days for everyone.

This feels so abnormal. Staying inside during winter makes more sense to us. But, sitting during summer months definitely gives a different feeling that we are struggling to comprehend. Prayer is definitely in order.

We want to make sure our Village is okay. ❤️
