We had some very special (and VERY cute!) visitors at Village Academy! 🐰🐐🐥

Our Infant through Pre-K classrooms welcomed chickens, baby chicks, bunnies, a lamb, and a baby goat for a hands-on animal experience! Our students and teachers loved getting an up-close look at each of our furry and feathered friends.

Our students had the opportunity to learn about the different animals, practice using gentle hands, and build an understanding of how we safely and kindly care for living things. There were lots of smiles, giggles, curious little faces, and plenty of snuggles along the way!

We’re so grateful for experiences like these that bring learning to life💛

Today was Teddy Bear Picnic & Pajama Day at Village Academy! 🧸

Everyone came to school in their favorite pajamas and brought along a special stuffed animal to spend the day with. Our older classrooms also enjoyed picnic lunches outside, making the day even more fun.☀️

We loved seeing all of our friends’ favorite teddy bears and stuffed animals!

What a fun day at Village Academy! 🫧

Yesterday, we welcomed the Bubble Man, and every classroom headed outside to enjoy an unforgettable bubble show! The children were amazed by the giant bubbles floating through the air, loved the chance to step inside a bubble, and danced their hearts out during our bubble dance party!

Bubble play is so much more than fun—it encourages gross motor development as children chase and pop bubbles, strengthens fine motor skills as they reach, point, and grasp, and provides a wonderful sensory experience that sparks curiosity, laughter, and imagination.

Thank you to the Mr. Vic, the Bubble Man, for bringing so much joy, laughter, and magic to our day! 🫧💙

Today we welcomed Ellie’s Treats Ice Cream Truck for the first visit of the season, and it was a huge hit! Every one of our students and teachers—from our babies to our Pre-K friends—got to choose and enjoy a special treat!

With the sunshine, it was the perfect day to cool off with a sweet treat! Seeing so many smiling faces enjoying this fun surprise made our day.

🇺🇸❤️🤍💙 Happy 4th of July from all of us at Village Academy! 💙🤍❤️🇺🇸

What a fun week celebrating America’s 250th birthday! Our classrooms were filled with patriotic spirit as we learned about the Fourth of July through festive crafts, sensory activities, stories, and singing our favorite patriotic songs.

We wrapped up the week with a special celebration featuring hot dogs, watermelon, popsicles, and lots of other delicious treats! Seeing the smiles, laughter, and excitement throughout the school made for the perfect way to kick off the holiday weekend.

We hope all of our Village Academy families and friends enjoy a wonderful day filled with quality family time, fun, and lasting memories. Wishing everyone a safe, happy, and patriotic Fourth of July! 🇺🇸✨

A rainy day turned into one of our favorite memories! Our classrooms traded their sneakers for bathing suits, and the cutest little rain suits, then headed outside for an impromptu foam party and water play!

There was so much laughter, splashing, bubbles, and excitement as every classroom and teacher joined in on the fun. Seeing children explore, play, and make joyful memories together is what childhood is all about.

Beyond the smiles, sensory play offers so many important developmental benefits. Experiences like water and foam play encourage curiosity, creativity, problem-solving, language development, and social interaction while supporting fine and gross motor skills. Most importantly, they allow children to learn through hands-on exploration in a way that feels like pure fun!

A huge thank you to our amazing teachers for making moments like these possible. It takes a lot of teamwork and extra effort, but seeing children of all ages laughing, playing, and making memories together makes it all worthwhile. We are so lucky to have a team that makes childhood feel so magical. 💙🫧
