Life is a head game. Let's face it. Why would working out and changing our behaviors be much different??? How many of us look at the clock during workingout... and tell ourselves... "okay 10 mins left... so that is 2 mins 5 times..." Or "I have twelve reps... that is only 4 reps 3 times." We are mentally prepping ourselves. We are breaking the larger picture down into smaller, more accomplishable steps. It helps us to not be overwhelmed. If you struggle and need this processing, know you are NOT alone. This mental prepping is often very helpful with implementing changes. In other words, if you want permanent changes... I encourage you to make small, healthy, sustainable adjustments in your life.

Let me know if you've got questions!!!

This is a good reminder... especially with all the anger surrounding us lately. Let that s**t go.

This helps pick up my mood.

Surgery sucks. I have been so limited on what I can do... and yet I have been doing what I can. I keep moving. Not giving up. It gets discouraging at times... but I am slowly progressing!

Attitude of gratitude ♡
My mindset today

24/10/2020

If there was ever a time to be bold, it is now. Your mind and heart will generally agree when things are right. Don't back down from living the life you want to live.

I can't emphasize enough right now that stress levels are high. Our surroundings are a chaotic mess and emotions in general are elevated. All this stress is not helping you. It makes you more likely to "catch" a virus illness or cold. Stress weakens the immune system, tenses muscles, increases blood pressure & heart rate, narrows airways (harder to take a deep breath), and messes with your hormones.

So what are you doing to lower your stress levels? Need ideas?
• Take a walk
• Deep breath for 2-5 minutes
• 🧘‍♀️ Meditate
• Stretch
• Do something you LOVE to do... paint, draw, create
• Exercise
• Pray

The general purpose is to release body tension and the heaviness from the mind. Be creative. Do what is good for you♡

I just read that there are about 1 in 4 kids contemplating su***de right now. That breaks my heart. This is not okay. Can we just please spread a little kindness and compassion? Our kids need us to be better examples.
There needs to be a little more love♡

➡️ You are loved. You are important. You are not alone.

This! You are what you repeatedly do.

6 years together, 5 years today since we said our vows, and 3 years since we made it all legal. We have fought battles together that most people will never have to face. We irritate the s**t out of eachother but love eachother more. Here's to facing life's battles with your best friend, lover, and spouse. May God continue to refine us and bring us closer together.

Want your school to be the top-listed School/college?

2mOtiv8: What the heck is this page?

Maybe I should start first with who I am. How do you sum up your life, passion, and pursuits in a few paragraphs? Not an easy task, but here goes...

It is safe to say I have always had a passion for helping people. I genuinely care. After graduating from high school, I sought after, worked very hard for, and earned my bachelor degree in nursing from Boise State University. Working for 13+ years on the front-lines in western medicine provided me with not only opportunities to serve, but to learn and grow in my understanding of health. (Sure, I just spent the last several years learning about health and disease in college, but there is definitely something about that trial by fire exposure you get when you are actually working. Anyone who has worked in healthcare understands this education.) It was while working in the ICU/CCU that I had an “ah ha” moment. I was working with extremely sick people. Can I help people from getting to this particular point? And if so, how? It was then that I really became interested in the disease prevention aspects of healthcare. I found myself seeking improvements in my own health and fitness. Along with being a registered nurse, and by this time a mom, I became a certified personal trainer, a certified fitness nutrition specialist, and certified health coach.

In today’s society it seems that everyone and their pet (chicken, dog, cat, whatever) is a trainer or a health coach. So why work with me? Let me explain what sets me apart. I am not bought by a company to sell products to you. You wont catch me giving you quick weight loss tips. I am in it for the long haul. You see, personal training is just the tip of the ice berg. Of course I can and would love to help you with personal training, but I can also help you with setting goals. Huge stress in your life? I can help you learn how to manage it. I can educate you on your doctor prescribed medications and/or medical diagnoses. I can help you evaluate your habits and behaviors. Want to learn more about nutrition? I can help you with that too. I want to be able to not only talk to you about your health as a whole, but I want to make myself able and very capable of tailoring to your needs. How many times have you wanted to pick the brain of a nurse? Get a better understanding of your habits? Your dietary intake? Or learn exercise techniques to address muscle imbalances? I can and do help individuals with all of those needs. Any of those needs sound familiar to you? Reach out to me and let’s talk.
