A huge thank you to City of Eagle Lake Mayor Anthony Johnson for stopping by to speak with our incoming cadets on Monday. Having a lifelong local leader and dedicated public servant share his journey is the exact motivation our cadets need as they launch into their next chapter following acclimation.

Class 23’s first Awards Ceremony was a success! 🏆 From candidate-to-cadet milestones, promotions, receiving their acclimation ribbons, and new squad leaders, to grinding out July & August birthday push-ups, these cadets are setting the standard.

Leadership is earned through grit, discipline, and teamwork. Congratulations to all participants in this year's Guidon Relay on officially earning the rank of Cadet and receiving their platoon patches.

Special recognition goes to Team Three, claiming the Alpha (Ala)Gators Platoon identity for setting the standard and winning the Drill & Ceremony Competition to take 1st place overall. Team One secured the Bravo Bulldogs Platoon name, coming in 2nd place, and Team Two rounded out the competition in 3rd place, making Charlie Cobras Platoon their own.

Every single one of the cadets proved they have what it takes to wear the patch. The journey has just begun—keep pushing the standard forward.

Yesterday, the energy on the parade deck was unmatched. Just a few short weeks of early mornings, endless repetitions, and relentless attention to detail all came down to one thing: the teams earning their official platoon identity.

Drill and ceremony isn't just about marching in sync—it’s about discipline, trust, and moving as one single unit under pressure. Every turn, every step, and every command carried the weight of the work put in behind the scenes. Seeing the pride and intensity from everyone out there proved that these platoons didn't just show up to compete—they showed up to claim their name.

Now that the dust has settled and the routines are done, the big question remains...
