Professionals…Have you heard about the freezing of the federal funds…do you know what this means…this is what we know, until someone tells us differently…

• Federal funding helps support child care assistance programs such as School Readiness
• There is no confirmed impact to Florida or Duval County at this point
• Local leaders are awaiting official guidance from the state before making any changes
• Payments for child care provided in December are secure and will be issued

At this time, child care programs are continuing to operate as usual, and families do not need to take any action.

This update is being shared for transparency—not alarm. Child care systems are closely monitored, and local coalitions are prepared to communicate clearly if anything changes.

We will continue to share accurate updates as soon as more information becomes available.
