✊🏽Happy National Black Midwives Day! ✊🏽

Today, we honor the powerful legacy of the Grand Midwives who paved the way for us. Their strength, knowledge, and dedication to Black communities continue to shape the way we approach birth work today.

At Aya Birth and Community Wellness, we proudly stand on the shoulders of these trailblazers. We are committed to creating history in midwifery by being the first Black-owned birth center in North Carolina.

This day is about honoring the past, celebrating the present, and looking toward the future of Black Midwives. We recognize the contributions of those before us and acknowledge the importance of continuing this work for the generations to come.

To all the Midwives—past, present, and future—thank you for your unwavering commitment to supporting families and communities. Your work is invaluable, and today, we celebrate YOU! ✨

Your Community Needs YOU

We know the statistics. We know the heartbreak. Black mothers are dying at 3-4x the rate of their white counterparts. Families are suffering because they don’t have providers who see them, who understand them, who advocate for them.

YOU can change that!

Your voice. Your hands. Your heart. They are exactly what your community needs. With our training, you’ll have the tools to show up for Black and Brown families in a way no one else can. This is how we break the cycle. This is how we rewrite the story.

Your community is waiting for you. Are you ready to answer the call? Join us for the Legacy Birth Assistant Training
