GCA is thankful to partner with our local pastors for building the kingdom. Today, GCA welcomed Pastor Ian Turner from Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Durham. He has been leading the student ministry there since 2023. Next week, Pastor Paul Camp from Gorman Baptist will lead our final chapel of the year. Today, students learned what is means to be faithful from Acts 16. When God says, “no” we can trust that he has something greater planned for us. He is faithful to his promises. We are to do the same, remaining anchored in our faith. The character focus for May is faithfulness. Let's see who will be our Eagles in Flight this week for demonstrating faithfulness!

Let’s celebrate our amazing teachers and staff! Brighten a teacher’s day with cards, flowers, treats, useful classroom items, gift cards, etc. There will be something special for our staff each day. On Monday, the church is hosting a CFA breakfast. Tuesday-Thursday, families are invited to donate grab/go breakfast items like pastries, muffins, bagels, cream cheese, fruit, and yogurt. On Wednesday, the school is sponsoring a CFA lunch. On Friday, the FAN club is providing donuts. Let's show them how much they are appreciated.

The GCA Book Fair opened today. We are proud to host I:55, whose name comes from Isaiah 55. This chapter encompasses all they strive to do, knowing that nothing is impossible with God. Their vision at I:55 is to see every child delight in books that grow their minds, shape their hearts, and point them toward lasting truth, inspiring the next generation of readers. All products are carefully evaluated to ensure they meet high standards of quality and provide wholesome, age-appropriate content for their readers, while still offering a wide selection of titles online and in book fairs. Families can shop before or after school Monday-Thursday, April 20-24, 2026. Grandparents are invited to shop, dine, and attend chapel with their student on Wednesday. Families will have fun shopping and playing during the carnival on Thursday, 4:30-7:30 pm.
