Angela A. Coleman, Ed.D., vice chancellor for , has been named the recipient of the UNC System Association of Student Governments William C. Friday Lifetime Achievement Award for the 2025–2026 academic year.

This prestigious honor, one of the highest within the UNC System, recognizes a lifetime of exemplary service to students. Dr. Coleman was formally recognized on April 18, 2026, at Appalachian State University.

With more than 28 years of leadership in higher education, Dr. Coleman’s impact spans institutions, initiatives and generations of students. At , her visionary leadership has strengthened student success, expanded mental health resources, enhanced campus safety and elevated the overall student experience.

This recognition reflects what we already know, her work changes lives.

| Please join us in celebrating Sha’Lexus Sanders, who has been recognized by the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge for her outstanding leadership in civic engagement.

A senior political science major, SGA President and student representative on the Board of Trustees, Sha’Lexus led more than 1,000 NCCU students to participate in the Soar to the Polls initiative. Helping the university earn recognition as a Most Engaged Campus for College Student Voting.
