In this exciting season of commencement, we are not only proud to celebrate this spring 29 graduates, but also the addition of our dear colleague, Dr. Patricia Moss Wigfall, to the listing of Professors Emeriti as of May 2025! Dr. Wigfall remains an active member of the NCCU Public Administration community, continuing to inspire and recognize students with the Moss-Wigfall Award for Academic Excellence in Public Administration.
Dr. Wigfall, congratulations on being named a Professor Emerita of North Carolina Central University. You are deeply deserving of this award for your enduring legacy of your scholarship, mentorship, and service.

Dr. Wigfall, presenting the Moss-Wigfall Graduate Award for Academic Excellence in Public Administration to Iana Bakhmet for the 2023-2024 academic school year. The award recognizes the student(s) who is enrolled in the MPA Program, has enrolled for at least 9 credit hours for each semester (except for the summer sessions) over the period of matriculation, has the most earned credit hours over the period of matriculation, has the highest GPA, among other criteria.
