Project BRI(DDD)GE Day 4 featured worship at where we were welcomed whole heartedly by Mtr. Valorie and the entire St. Titus community. We also got to celebrate August birthdays, August anniversaries, and the beauty found in God’s dearly beloved community. Following an afternoon of rest and relaxation, BRI(DDD)GERs gathered for an evening at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park!
As we begin to wrap up Project BRI(DDD)GE 2025, we are thankful for the friends we’ve met along the way, the various stories we’ve been able to glean wisdom from and bear witness to, and the many ways we’ve cultivated meaningful and intentional community during this week together. 💜

Day 3 of Project BRI(DDD)GE is complete!
On this day, we continued our Pilgrimage of Pain and Hope with and took a walking tour of downtown Durham where we learned about Black Wall Street, visited the Durham Farmer’s Market, and reflected on what Durham’s story is and was. We also heard from friends about the Latinx story and experience in Durham and had a panel reflecting on Durham Then & Now. Our day concluded with a Talking Circle, a traditional Indigenous practice.
It’s been a full few days, and we’re excited for what the rest of Project BRI(DDD)GE holds in store for us.

On Day 2, BRI(DDD)GERs began their Pilgrimage of Pain & Hope with and wonderful facilitators, Shelvis and Min Jae. We went to Historic Stagville, heard from Judge Beverly Scarlett on the Indigenous Story, enjoyed a wonderful meal catered by Durhamanian Grill, and welcomed Angela Taylor and her mother, Margaret Smith, as they reflected on the Hayti Community in Durham.
